More about us
Our Goals this Year - 'Building Communities, Bridging Continents'
- To raise £10,000 for our nominated charites (see 'Charities This Year')
- To have lively Thursday morning meetings where each member will have the opportunity to deliver a thought for the day and a speaker or activity relevant to them, city life and/or the ideals of Rotary as a woldwide movement
- Supporting our community in the City of Derby especially the Padley Centre, Milestone House (night shelter) and Safe and Sound (click on these for links to their websites)
- To grow the club - each member is asked to invite at least one person to consider joining the club to share our fun, friendship and activities
Structure
We do have a formal structure as with any Rotary club, and there are a number of key posts which constitutes the club council. The council meets five times a year, and all of our members are welcome to attend the meetings.
